Beyond the Brief
I’m always thinking of out-of-the-box solutions for both my work and personal projects. My recipe? Imagination, purpose, and a little whimsy.
Each selected destination reveals a connecting path, allowing learners to visually track their progress.
The first land features three different shops users can enter, each one representing different key functions.
The tour guide (me!) gets off at each stop on the tour and interacts with the steward of that land.
The tour guide appears at key points in each land to provide important tips.
Part of the navigation structure for each land includes screens where users click for the information.
At the end of each land a quiz section with various types of design and functionality tests comprehension.

Concept Development ✦ Copywriting
Storytelling ✦ Experience Design
This nine-part, story-driven training experience, inspired by The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour, transformed a complex, hard-to-retain process into an engaging and memorable journey.
THE NEED:
As the copy team lead at S4 NetQuest, I was responsible for training colleagues on a complicated copy review and submission process for our largest client. Simply put, nothing fully stuck. The material was dry and lengthy and traditionally presented in a procedural format.
To make sure employees could learn the material and confidently apply it day-to-day, we needed training that could be used across the organization to improve comprehension, usability, and engagement.
MY SOLUTION:
I combined my love of music and creative world-building to reimagine the training as a whimsical, song-laced journey, turning each step of the process into its own immersive destination.
Inspired by the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour, I used storytelling, custom voiceover (by me!), and interactive design to create a visual feast that was both intuitive and memorable.
MY PROCESS:
This was my passion project at the time and one of my proudest creative accomplishments. I fully concepted it from the ground up and guided development, including:
Building the complete narrative and learning flow across all modules
Writing all scripts and instructional content
Directing visual design in collaboration with a graphic designer
Designing interactive elements to reinforce learning and retention
Recording full voiceover as the “tour guide” taking users through the experience
The impact:
Training that was once extremely difficult to implement, with low levels of retention, transformed into an accessible, enjoyable experience for the company’s entire staff.
Enabled more employees to effectively learn and apply the copy approval process, saving the organization saved time and money through improved efficiency.
Recognized by company leadership for its creativity, execution, and effectiveness.
Nominated for an LTEN award for innovation and design.
